over D’Hanis Cowboys, advance to face Harper

The Bremond Tigers did what was necessary to survive against the D’Hanis Cowboys on Friday, Nov. 30, coming out on top in the 1A regional semi-finals.

The Tigers took a 21-14 victory and now await the next round of postseason play in a quest for the Texas 1A title.

Leading the way for the Tigers was Jeremy Baker, who rushed for 51 yards with a touchdown while hauling in five receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown.

Also scoring for Bremond was Todd Crawford, who scrambled for 77 yards on 13 carries en route to a Tigers touchdown.

Overall, the Bremond Tigers rushed for 243 yards on 47 carries while garnering 184 yards in the air behind quarterback LiDarral Bailey.

D’Hanis, meanwhile, was limited to a mere 26 rushing yards by the Bremond secondary while picking up 262 passing yards.

In addition, the Cowboys committed five turnovers compared to just one turnover by the Tigers.

With the victory over D’Hanis, Bremond advances to face Harper on Friday night, Dec. 7, with the opening-kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m.
