Warriors’ road win over Rockwall keeps hoops team undefeated at 2-0

A 27-point first quarter helped lead the South Grand Prairie Warriors to an 85-74 road victory over Rockwall on Nov. 17.

Both Lindsey Hughley and Donell Lewis poured in 20 points apiece for the Warriors to lead the team in scoring.

Justin Monk and Darius Gregory chipped in with 13 points each and Robert Ballard added 9 points.

Leading Rockwall in scoring was Braxton Adamson with 26 points, Joel Johnson with 17 points and Brad Fields with 15.

After outscoring Rockwall 27-15 in the first period, the Warriors never looked back en route to their 11-point road win.

With the victory, the Warriors remain undefeated at 2-0 on the season.

 

Nov. 14 Highlights: SGP 65, Lancaster 56

South Grand Prairie’s Lindsey Hughley knocked in 21 points, while teammate Donell Lewis added 15, as the Warriors defeated Lancaster 65-56 on the road in their season-opener on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

The Warriors’ Darius Gregory chipped in with 14 points and Robert Ballard added 7 points.

Leading the way for Lancaster was Dominique Collier with 18 points and Takolby Jackson with 14 points.
