Lady Warriors’ basketball team picks up one-point victory over FM Wyatt

The South Grand Prairie Lady Warriors picked up their first regular season win of the year on Friday, Nov. 17 at SGP High School, defeating FM Wyatt 67-66.

After falling behind 17-8 after the first period, the Lady Warriors battled back in the second to outscore their opponent 21-8 to take a four-point lead into halftime.

And in the second half, the Lady Warriors defense held on for a one-point victory over FM Wyatt.

Leading the Lady Warriors in scoring was Tiera Williams with 24 points and Ashlee Mells with 19 points.

For FM Wyatt, Briana Walker led the team with 19 points while teammate Ashley Ferrell chipped in with 14 points.

 

Nov. 13 Highlights: FM Marcus 71, SGP 47

FM Marcus outscored the SGP Lady Warriors 34-19 in the first half en route to a 71-47 victory on Nov. 13 at Flower Mound.

Marcus’ Cara Sczepanski led all scorers with 27 points on the night.

For the Lady Warriors, Breanisha Byrd led the girls with 19 points while teammate Tiera Williams added 11.
